I neglect my talents
Almost every country I have gone to, there is someone holding out their hands towards others seeking alms.
For more than sixteen years, the IPG ministries in some way or another have been responding to some of those requests. In most cases it is the Holy Spirit who impressed on our hearts to respond whether it is financial support or otherwise.
We need to realize that even beggars sometimes will come to us enrobed in sheep clothing when of a fact they are greedy wolves. Members of I Promised God Ministries have been assisting at least seven families with their children’s education.
Earlier this year we were looking at some photos which one of those students the Ministry are helping sent us; and there it was! We noticed one of her friends had on a peculiar looking pair of shoes which drew my attention. Something about them just didn’t look right; so we enquired about her. The ministry sent her two pairs of shoes, a handbag and a few other things. Inside the handbag we placed a $20 bill. When we learned what she did with the $20 bill we were completely blown away. For a minute or so our mouths kept open. She used the money to buy a school uniform by faith without knowing whether she
What is so shocking about that one might quickly ask? You better sit down to hear the rest of her story. When she was 9 years old her parents were separated then she and her sister lived with their father until about 6 years ago when he could no longer provide for them. She had to stop going to school and was sent to the capital city to live with her aunt for two years. She then went back home and lived with her mother in very meager conditions. During that time there was an evangelistic outreach in her home town. She and her younger sister decided to give their hearts to our Lord Jesus-Christ; and they were baptized into the seventh-day Adventist church. They were persecuted following their baptism and suffered hunger and hostility from family members and others; but they stood firm in their faith. For about 4 years she had not been able to pursue her dream to go back to school. Every Sabbath at church for the whole year she had been placing a piece of paper with the same petition in the church’s prayer box, asking her Lord and Saviour Jesus to help her go back to school. When she received the package the shoes and the $20 she related to us that she knew that God had answered her continuous one year prayer so she used the money to buy her school uniform! Praise God she enrolled in school and is studying very hard. She did not have lunch money for the first week but she went anyway… It took only one year to complete her study. She took the exam and past! Thank God. She is hoping to attend business and accounting college in Canada. She is determined to put God first in all that she does; no matter what happens… And yes, it was God who used a peculiar looking pair of shoes so He could draw our attention to her needs. Therefore, we truly believe that God will inspire each member and supporter I Promised God Ministries to help this Christian young lady who took a stand for our SAVIOUR to reach her personal goals in her life.ic life.
This is the perfect blog for everyone who hopes to understand this topic. You understand so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want toÖHaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic which has been written about for years. Excellent stuff, just excellent!
Due to Civid-19 outbreak this young lady with the peculiar looking pair of shoes dream of traveling aboard has been placed on hold. However, she has completed a one year computer study. She is busy taking care of her 3 younger siblings which her mother left with her. She is also diligently working with IPGM: administering help to several other suffering Haitians. She is a rose amongst thorns-she’s a precious jewell in the mud..
